THE EMERGING SCHOLARS INITIATIVE
FROM ACADEMIC RESEARCH TO PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION.
FROM ACADEMIC RESEARCH TO PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION.
Universities produce valuable research that too often remains confined to the classroom. The Emerging Scholars Initiative identifies promising academic work and helps selected authors develop it into rigorous, accessible analysis for a wider international audience.
Through editorial guidance and a structured review process, ARI provides emerging researchers with an opportunity to refine their arguments, strengthen their evidence, and contribute meaningfully to public debate.
WHO CAN SUBMIT?
THE INITATIVE IS OPEN TO:
Current university students.
Recent graduates.
Graduate students.
Emerging researchers at the beginning of their academic or professional careers.
Priority consideration will be given to BeLatin members and participants in BeLatin conferences and programs, whose academic work will be welcomed for editorial consideration through the Emerging Scholars Initiative.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
REASERCH MENTORSHIP PATHWAY
Some submissions demonstrate exceptional potential and may benefit from specialized academic guidance. Through the Research Mentorship Pathway, ARI may connect selected authors with experienced researchers, subject-matter experts, or academics whose expertise aligns with the paper's topic.
Working collaboratively, authors and mentors can refine the research question, strengthen the analytical framework, improve the use of evidence, and develop the paper toward publication-ready standards.
Mentor assignments are based on subject-matter fit, availability, and the absence of relevant conflicts of interest. Mentors provide guidance intended to strengthen the research while respecting the author's intellectual independence and responsibility for the work.
